Boxing day and New year's day racing.

The Christmas period of racing has been a real blast. I've not been up since August and it was good to see so many friendly faces and new members too. The boxing day race with some excellent reaches with gusts up to a F5 and gybes all the way down the course. Managing to stay upright, I clocked up some 13 laps with the use of Evette’s laser. The New Year’s race saw more entries and an excellent course with the wind blowing a gentle F2/3 until all hell broke loose and staying upright was a survival game. I don't know what the wind got up to with the driving rain. And it only lasted for 5 minutes. Evette took a blow to the head in the N12 and ended on shore then being towed in. Mark parked his laser up on the club side shore to avoid it all then headed in to help Dudley’s albacore as it wasn't visible, it looked like 3 people were walking on water at one point. Well at least we got out after last years freeze. See you all again soon. Terry.
